BMW has issued position statements requiring OEM headlamp and windshield replacements on BMW and MINI vehicles to ensure proper ADAS function. Aftermarket parts no longer qualify. This follows similar moves by other premium OEMs tightening parts specs. Shops are now caught between carrier pressure to use cheaper alternatives and OEM requirements that drive denials if non-OEM parts are installed.
