Good morning, {{firstName}}.

ASE just secured a $25 million Department of Labor grant. That's the kind of capital that signals where the industry's real pain point is: technician training. Mark's been tracking something related in his calibration audit files.

1. ASE DOL grant exposes the skills bottleneck shops face

A $25 million, four-year DOL investment in ASE training doesn't happen by accident. It signals federal acknowledgment that collision shops can't find techs who know what they're doing. I'm seeing this play out in denials: shops lacking ADAS-certified staff get rejected on calibrations that techs certified two years ago would've passed. The gap is widening, not closing.
