Good morning, {{firstName}}.

This week the EPA started implementing Trump's 'Freedom to Fix' memo, which clarifies federal authority over who can perform emissions repairs. That's moving the needle on independent shop access to OEM systems.

FIELD

1. EPA recognizes SEMA as alternative standards authority for emissions

Trump signed the memo Monday. By Wednesday, EPA formally recognized SEMA as an alt certifier for emissions compliance. This creates a parallel track to OEM-only repair chains. For shops doing ADAS recalibrations tied to emissions systems (cameras, radar mounted near exhaust sensors), this could mean faster OEM approval for independent calibration protocols.

📬 Hit reply. Reply: has an OEM ever cited emissions compliance to deny your calibration claim, and which carrier backed them up?

📤 Know a shop that should read this?

One forward could save them three hours of denial fights this month.
